Forte Building & Remodeling, LLC is a family-owned, customer-focused construction company based in Howell, Michigan. Fully licensed and insured, we specialize in the design and construction of new homes, delivering high-quality homes tailored to each client’s vision. We also provide comprehensive design consulting and drawing services to ensure every project is thoughtfully planned from the start.

Owner Derek Lisabeth has spent most of his life in the residential construction industry. He began working in his parents’ home building and remodeling business at a young age, where he discovered his passion for building. That passion led him to Michigan State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management. After graduating, Derek worked with several successful home builders in both California and Michigan, managing the construction of more than 500 homes. His education and hands-on experience have given him the expertise to efficiently design, estimate, schedule, and manage projects from concept to completion.

Founded in 2020, Forte Building & Remodeling, LLC was created to bring that experience and attention to detail directly to homeowners. Since then, we have proudly built nearly 30 beautiful custom homes throughout Michigan.
